Understanding Dyslexia, Building Success
Is your child struggling with reading or spelling? Dyslexia can make learning challenging but with the right support, students can thrive. I offer comprehensive dyslexia assessments to identify strengths and areas needing support. This informs tailored, multi-sensory tuition, enabling learners to build confidence and make significant progress. As a specialist teacher, I create engaging learning experiences, empowering students to succeed academically and in the wider world. I understand dyslexia's complexities and I will teach a range of skills and strategies to help your child become a confident, successful learner.
Dyslexia Assessments
Dyslexia assessments are offered for children and young people aged 7 to 16. These assessments provide a detailed understanding of their strengths and difficulties and include a diagnosis of dyslexia and / or recommendations for onward referrals for other specific learning difficulties if appropriate and a diagnosis of dyslexia if relevant. The assessment will discover why the student is struggling to meet their potential and provide recommendations for strategies to support their learning at school and at home. Dyslexia screening is also avaliable on request.
Specialist Dyslexia Teaching
Specialist dyslexia teaching is provided for learners ages 6-16, tailored to their individual needs. 1:1 support focuses on building confidence and providing targeted support in literacy. Engaging learning experiences, including games and multi-sensory techniques, are used to help your child thrive. Your child can learn a wide range of strategies to support their learning. Sessions are available online or in person.
English and Maths Tuition
Engaging and effective English and Maths tuition is offered for children aged 5 to 11. Whether your child needs extra support or wants to be challenged further, they can be helped to build a strong foundation in these core subjects. A fun and supportive learning environment is created where children can thrive, build confidence and develop a love of learning.
